LITTLE ONE~END OF JOURNEY ALONE
BY Ann Marquette
This is a story for ALL ages and being enjoyed by adults, including men who have amazed me with their response to the story.
Little One has been wandering alone since she and her parents started out on a trip to somewhere unknown. Her father flew his small plane. They had not told anyone they were going and her Dad didn’t log his flight plan with anyone. They crashed over a large wooded area, killing both parents. Little One was safe with barely a scratch. She was a bright 2 year old, sweet and loving. From that place she began her journey alone.
She loved all animals and was not afraid of even the wildest in the forest. She made friends with them, learned about their ways, and how to find food for herself.
Eventually she wondered out of those woods. Over the next couple years she met people shared their food and they gave her a place to sleep. They asked her name, but it had been so long since she heard it that she forgot. Because she was a tiny wisp of a child everyone seemed to call her Little One and she eventually thought that was her name. They asked about her parents, but she had long pushed the incident from her mind and would simply say she didn’t know. Little One would always disappear before any of the people could contact authorities about her.
In this Book 1 of Little One’s Journey she meets an elderly man named Vincent and a unicorn called Uni who become her friends. This is the time her journey alone ends.
After spending time with Vincent and Uni at Vincent’s home, they begin a new journey together. Vincent and Little One follow Uni’s lead. They spend some weeks traveling through beautiful places. Eventually Uni takes them through a beautiful forest to a very secret place where they meet Uni’s mate and their baby unicorn, their fairy friends and many other animal friends.
They spend many days and nights in this magical, peaceful, beautiful place. Little One gets to know L’Uni, the young unicorn who becomes one of her special friends and guides through her life. She meets Eagle Tom, two white doves, and an angel named Mary who shares the next part of her journey.
Time in this secret glen is getting to know each other and prepare for the next journey. The sad part is that Vincent doesn’t go with Little One when she leaves this place. He stays with Uni and his mate and other friends until it is his time to pass on to the next world and be with his beloved wife again.
Sad as it is for Little One and Vincent not see each other again, they are grateful for having been part of each others lives.
When it is time for Little One and her new friends to leave this place, they say goodbye and go through the secret cave to the outer world beyond this place to begin the new journey…
Author Note: This book is no longer being published , for now. There are a few copies left. If you are interested in purchasing one for yourself please let me know.
I’d love to buy a copy, although it will probably be a while before I get to read it. I have such a big stack already, including She-Rain. Will you save a copy for me, please? I will pay you next time we meet in Greenville. Looking forward to seeing you then.

Ann, you are a genius in Fiction as well as in Poetry!
‘Little One’ is a page-turner, with ‘what will happen next?’
you are able to follow the ‘stream of consciousness technique’ of 20TH Century Fiction, which is not easy!
Hoping to read the sequel soon , here on your blog!
Just never give up writing with the kind of talent you possess!
