Love~Heart Smiles

By Ann Marquette

I am not big on the commercialization or hype about Valentine’s day.

I believe we all should show love everyday to everyone.

There are various kinds/levels of love.

Everyone needs to know they are loved. Even little kindnesses, like giving someone a smile can make their day.

I hope your day is very special, and mostly I wish for you something special to make your heart smile.

You sit in this quiet place
Playing quiet beautiful music
A peace comes over you

You feel a joy you never knew
You look up to see her
There a short distance away

Her smile comes from deep within
She walks very slowly
She is coming to you

You are still playing
Yet you have stopped breathing
You feel you are in a dream

She is beside you now
She holds out her hand to you
You take her hand and rise

The music goes on in your souls
You hold each other
Softly, slowly you glide around the floor

The dance begins
To the quiet song within your hearts

I hope this will be a little light for Trey who is going through a rough time right now.

Each new day ~ even if it is raining
I wish you to see sunshine and flowers

Every night ~ even if cloudy skies
I wish you see only star light and moon glow

Each day ~ especially if you feel down
I wish you a special visitor
A humming-bird, a butterfly to make your
Heart Smile

Anytime ~ if you feel alone
I wish you the unmistakable feeling
Of a hug from Jesus

Always I wish you unlimited Heart Smiles

I decided to follow-up on my Thursday post My Heart Hurts…
https://amarquette333.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/my-heart-hurts-and-cries-out%e2%80%a6/
Friday morning in one of my readings “Never Judge” where the last paragraph says “How can one judge of another? ……………… Bring each heart to Me, its Maker, and leave it with Me. Secure in the certainty that all that is wrong I can set right.”

How many times each day do we judge each other, even in small ways. We forget that we do not know where the other person has been in their lives, what they have been through, how their lives and environments have affected them. Even those people we think we know, we don’t REALLY know what is going through their minds, emotions, spirit, their HEARTS. It takes time to truly get to KNOW another person’s background and their heart.

How does your heart feel…about life these days?
What is your dream for our country, and your personal dream?

I would love to hear from you. In the meantime, let your heart light shine.

I was sad that I had to cancel my trip to Greenville this weekend for the art festival. Just the gas to drive there and back would cost me $60 which I just cannot spend that right now. I am even careful where I drive around here locally…not too far.

So this weekend I am spending quiet time in prayer and reflection here at the house…NO TELEVISION.

I DID HAVE A SURPRISE THIS MORNING…

This morning I noticed a MESS AT THE END OF THE WALKWAY to my house..

Hmm! who made this mess (photo by Ann Marquette)

MAKING YOUR NEST…

Making Your Nest by Ann Marquette

The nest is in fairly low branches RIGHT ABOVE my sidewalk.  She is eats lots of the berries from the tree and poops all over my car and parking spots.

Had to take my car to the car wash and will not be parking under the tree for a while.

What was really cool this morning when I saw her out there, I went out the door with the camera and she never flew away.  Just went about her business gathering stuff for her nest.  Even looked up at me a couple of times.

New Start by Ann Marquette

A great day began with blue skies and sunshine, when it was expected we would have rain this morning.

A friend who recently had two stints put in her heart’s clogged artery was told by her cardiologist, after doing an echocardiogram, he didn’t think her heart doing as well as it should and that she needed to have a defibrillator implanted. He referred her to a specialist surgeon who does these implants at Emory Hospital. I took her this morning and after meeting with him she came out smiling. He advised that she may not need one of these devices. It has not been three months yet since her stints were put in, and apparently it takes that long for the heart to start doing much better. He will see her again the end of April and do another echocardiogram to see how she is doing then. Ah thank you God for this hopeful good news.

While waiting at the doctor’s office for this friend, I did some reading of the inspirational kind. Hope and joy fills my heart when I read the stories of other’s coincidence experiences which changed their lives for the better.

Great time to rekindle A Blank Slate within myself to begin anew with hope, confidence, faith, and excitement for surprises to come https://amarquette333.wordpress.com/2010/09/17/a-blank-slate/

Happiness is ~ Heart Smiles, and I have one right now. Do you?
I wish you many Heart Smiles https://amarquette333.wordpress.com/2011/02/20/what-made-your-heart-smile-today-or-any-day/

To cap on yesterday’s post about Special Heart Smiles…
I have had many heart smiles in my life, some being unimaginable surprises, although not all were special ones 

Most of the Special Heart Smiles in my life had to do with people who came into my life. One which did not include another person was the evening I held a copy of my first published book in my hands.

However, the very first Heart Smile was many years ago when my baby brother came into my life. To this day he is still my most SPECIAL HEART SMILE. I am so grateful for him in my life.

A long time ago I realized there were occasions when something did more than put a smile on my face. A person’s words or action, or something, was so special that it made me smile deep down inside. One time I felt as if I could SEE my heart smiling.

~Here are my SPECIAL HEART SMILES~

I never had children of my own, but have been blessed with the joy of being close to children of friends.

Years ago while living in Ireland, a married couple a few doors down who become good friends had a new baby boy, their third child. A few days after mommy and baby Alan came home from the hospital I got to care for him while the family went to church. He was a good baby and a joy for me to love and care for him. They had me take care of him many times after that. Occasionally they would have a relative or someone else babysit him, but he was very fussy when with anyone else. So his Mom said she only felt comfortable with me taking care of him as he was always happy being with me 🙂 From the very beginning I felt a special bond with him. Sometimes when I would hold him in my arms he would look at me as if he could see into my soul. He sure made my HEART SMILE.

About 14 years ago I met a young couple who had a cute as a button baby girl, six months old. We became good friend and I would get to babysit for baby Eve. When she was about 2 years old an adorable baby boy was born. Gavin was born with Downs Syndrome. Having cared for children with Down’s Syndrome in the past, and love them dearly, I immediately took to Gavin. When his parent asked if I would “consider” being his Godmother, my heart cried with joyful HEART SMILES. I told them I did not need to think about it, that I would be honored to be his Godmother. Three more children later…Ian, Mary Rose, and Hannah…a great many times caring for all of them has been a gift for they are such a joy. When they see me, as their faces light up and they joyfully shout “Miss Ann” and come to lavish me with hugs my HEART not only SMILES, but jumps for joy.

I would love to know what and/or who makes your HEART SMILE.
