This was written long before our World’s current pandemic and America’s nationwide protests. I knew long ago there was a need for that special place, a peaceful HOME filled with LOVE, not hate and greed.  I don’t mean home as a house, but a place…

Where heart smiles
Shine through the eyes of all

Where caring and love
Are gifted to all

Some months ago I asked…

“Dear God, I just want enough finances to support myself, help others. Dine out with friends and some traveling.”  Please show me what is your best for me and how I can accomplish it.”

Well, He has been answering my prayer over the last few months, and I am grateful.

“Thank you God for guiding me to the book “You will never have this day again” where I read an inspirational quote from Oprah “Do What You Have to do Until You Can do what you Really Want to do.”

It was like God hitting me over the head with a 2×4. It was then I realized I needed to accept doing as much work as possible in order to pay off my debt and build my savings.

I am grateful the paid work I’m doing for the City of Greenville is enjoyable and does not create stress.  I also enjoy the people.

I have been working at transitioning from my habit of procrastination to doing now, not later. I’m getting better and better as the days go on.

And now God has gifted me with my wish for working half days most of the year, or at least half the year, and full time when special projects require it.  This allows me the extra income I need to support myself, help others, and treat myself sometimes, specially the dine outs with my gal friends.

Half days off gives me the time to comfortably run errands (not Saturdays!), and take care of items on my personal to do list.  I try to make Sundays my day of rest and relaxation.

What I really enjoy doing is reading, awake dreaming, writing about what inspires me, coffee with friends, and sometimes go for a drive.  I have been away from my writing for a long time. I pray I stick with it now.

It might be necessary to give up the quality time I currently have to read, watch, listen, daydream and write. I need the means for a supplemental income. My dream is to have enough temp/contract work, some full time some part time to bring in the finances needed, but still have plenty of free quality time for me and my dreams. None of my friends believe that is possible.  I believe it is, if it is God’s will it will happen.  Anyway, I am happy and grateful for my blessings.

I love meeting new people, and that also happens at the BN Cafes. It often begins by just seeing some of the same people over and over again, then we smile and say hello to each other. Eventually a time comes when one of us starts a conversation. It becomes a community, even if never socializing outside of here. Yet Greenville is still small enough to occasionally run into someone at another location, like a grocery store, at church etc.

Yesterday I watched a couple UTube posts about being grateful and saying thank you to others. It is a great reminder. I do thank God, at least most every day and sometimes more than once a day. But sometimes I forget to tell others thank you. It doesn’t matter if it is for something big or small. Too many times we take things for granted i.e. someone holding a door open for us, providing service with a smile, the gift of a handwritten message sent by snail mail, even a short kind text message. How many times a day do we miss saying thank you to someone, and brightening their day? How many things, a day can we be grateful for…especially the people in our lives.

Have you ever thought of being grateful for those things you are not even aware of, like being protected from an accident you might not have noticed while driving on our roads these days!

I love daydreaming as I look out the window wall I sit next to in the Café.  I watch the white fluffy clouds in the blue sky. I remember the time I saw one which looked like an island, My Island in the Sky

Ah September…the month when we sense the beginning of a new season to come ~Fall, or as I prefer “autumn” 🙂   In 20 days from now, it begins.

Today after church I went to Starbucks where I met up with friend Judi and her sweet puppy Tammy.  We spend a few hours over coffee and chatting about many subjects.  Then it was back to the house to do a couple things, freshen up, then pick up friend Barbara and out to a new Brazilian restaurant nearby for dinner and catching up.

Tonight I read some new posts from my blogger friends, some very deeply profound.
Thoughts on Moving On http://gingetz.com/2012/09/01/moving-on/
and, Sweet September http://teeceecounsel.wordpress.com/2012/09/01/sweet-september/
and, a new young writer whose words in two of her posts spoke to my heart, my spirit…  My Missing Piece http://anightcreature.wordpress.com/2012/09/02/writing-my-missing-piece/  and Cheerful Delusions http://anightcreature.wordpress.com/2012/09/02/20/

So now, I am stepping along the deep parts of me, remembering times gone by, my own missing pieces, and the acceptance that a lifelong dream although has never come to pass. Somewhere in time along this new path I am on a new dream will come to be ~ God’s BEST for me.

Night Walk

English: Night sky with moon and clouds, in Th...

I leave the world in my room to feel the soft fresh breeze of night, under the stars and in the light of the full moon. I walk the path through the trees and find my way to the water’s edge. There is an almost quiet flow of the river tonight. The reflection of the moon over the water creates a magical, peaceful, reflective mood. There is no one here but me and the night, and the trees whispering sweet nothings to the rippling river flowing by, and the fireflies flicker their messages to each other.

I am at peace with myself, and my thoughts scatter on the wind to flow through the universe. They call to you, to tell you that my heart is waiting patiently for you. They tell you that my arms are lonely for you, that I long to see your face, to hear your voice, to touch you. Yet, though I wish so deeply for you to be here by my side, to share our lives together, I know it will be worth the waiting.

Why is it the good things, happy times, magic moments come and go so quickly and the times in between seem so very long. I thank God for my nature friends to share these times with. What would I do without them.

I will walk a ways along the river’s edge, in the direction the river is flowing and imagine I am one with her, yet floating just barely above her soft cool water. I meld my soul with the river for a time, to understand, to feel. I spend some time this way.

Once back on land and resting against a great oak tree I feel refreshed and renewed. My tree holds me and enjoys the comfort of my peacefulness. I look up at the night sky with the stars twinkling, and watch the moon watching me.

Listening to Jonn’s beautiful music, I was inspired to write the two pieces with the titles below.  I wrote these a few years ago and want to share them again.

Century Princess”
I look, then blink
To see
As if in a dream

Yes, she is there
Somewhere in there
Through the trees

I see her
Then I don’t
And wonder
If I am dreaming

She is all in white
A gauzy kind of white
She moves as though floating

I hear her
A sound
As if she is singing

I try to catch up to her
But, never quite able to reach her.

“Le Tresor”
My love for you
Is so very deep within me

It fills my very soul
And every fiber of my being

My love for you
Is quiet and gentle
Soft and passionate
And kind

I love you
Far beyond
The furthest reaches
Of the universe.

Voices of Time by Michael Cox

There was a man and woman, each in their own worlds unknown to each other. Their lives had been filled with many blessings, and some troubled times.

Each found themselves in a space of solitude…a time for reflection, for grieving, for closing doors to the past, to cleansing their hearts and spirits.

One day they realized the dark clouds in their lives were breaking up and drifting off. They began to see God’s glorious sunlight peaking through and revealing a beautiful sight.

Each of them was living on opposite sides of a rocky landscape that circled a beautiful pool of water. Their homes were simple structures with only columns holding up the roofs. There were no walls. It seemed symbolic as they were tearing down the walls they had built around their hearts.

They woke one morning to the sound of birds singing and soaring overhead. They looked out to see two trees that had come alive with their white blossoms of spring.

So many times, up to this point, they had the feeling that someone special was nearby. On this morning, with the darkness gone, the light shining, the birds singing, they each stand and look across the pool of water and see there is someone on the other side.

At first there is surprise, then a few moments of trepidation. Then…there is the moment of recognition, a feeling of peaceful joy within, and excitement. They are eager to meet, to talk,
to walk together.

They both turn at the same time and see a structure similar to theirs on a lower portion of the rocky landscape which looks out over the ocean. There seems to be a light glowing from within.

At the same time, they each begin to descend the steps of their own space and take the journey through the rocky landscape to meet at the place by the ocean. Occasionally they stumble along the way, but eagerly continue in order to meet face to face.

They arrive at the same time, but having to ascend the structure’s steps at opposite sides. There is a small fire glowing inside, the flames very low but constant. They come closer, each reaching out a hand which they accept…quietly, in awe, and joy. As their hands touch, their hearts soar as if in flight. Yet, as they accept and hold each other’s hand they feel as if they have landed together safely, softly, securely.

No words are spoken yet. But, as they look out at the calm waters of the great ocean, they know in their hearts they are meant to be together…that this is just the beginning of their dreams. Their spirits soar with happiness beyond imagination, and thankfulness for…
God’s great gift of each other.

Interesting to look back at some of my writings from a few years ago. Sometimes I wonder where my mind was then 🙂

Early morning

Written July 28, 2005 and my dream is still pretty much the same 🙂

I wake shortly before dawn, to a brand new day, in my new life. I go to the kitchen to start a pot of coffee. I can see the moon from the window and it is so beautiful.

While the coffee brews I go brush my teeth put on my slippers and robe… I’m quiet so my husband can sleep a little longer. He was up late working on his latest masterpiece. He creates the most wonderful works of art…and He has all the special qualities I always wanted in my soul mate. I love him so much.

I get my coffee and go out to the deck to watch the sunrise. I love the sound of the ocean, and watching it change as the sun rises. Soon I feel the gentle caress as my Love leans over and gives me a kiss on the cheek and says “I’ll be right back Princess” as he goes to get his coffee.

Together we share this precious time of day as it comes alive with the sunrise. Once it is full light, it’s time to talk about our day’s schedules. He’s working on the illustrations for my first two books in the Little One series. My publisher is going to publish them in hardback with the illustrations…

My agent and publicist will arrive around 9am to discuss this project and my current schedule of book signings, speaking engagements, and the movie being made of my first book

Now My Love and I just sit together in quiet peacefulness for a while before we start our day’s work. I love this start to our days.

These are my dreams, the creative life I dream to live.  ***What is your most cherished dream?

The Rouvre river

Image via Wikipedia

This was written in 1996 as I listened to the beautiful, haunting sounds of Ixlandia composed and played by Jonn Serrie.  You can hear a taste of it now while you read how I was inspired by it… http://www.thousandstar.com/16901.html  click on the audio sample of this piece.  I edited the writing below to read as a slow, heartfelt poem.

The tears rain through my heart
softly as a Spring rain
on the windows of this castle world I live in.
My room is where I go
when I’m in need of renewing my spirit.
Just now my heart cries for you.
Loneliness fills my soul.

I listen to the rain outside
and inside my heart.
I watch the river flow by
out there beyond my room
and I imagine it carrying my sadness away.
As the rain refreshes our earth
my tears wash the pain from my heart
and makes me smile again.

In the depths of my soul
I know I will see you again someday.
The magic,
the beauty that was us…
for a few brief moments in time…
will one day become ours forever.
When you have done
all you need to do,
to find your true spirit…
When I am where I need to be…
Somewhere, sometime,
we will meet again
in a very special place.
We will then truly know each other
as we are meant to.

My hands and my heart
will reach out and touch you,
and hold you.
Your tears will flow with a joy
never known to you before.
You will know you are loved
far beyond the moon and stars,
and back again.

 My heart, my soul
wait for you…
and long for the day
we will be together, forever.
We will be together,
longer than forever.

No not the Empire State Building
That was ok
For Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan
But not for me
The place to meet my love

Find me on the swing
Under the big tree
Next to the flowing Reedy River
Just below the Main Street Bridge
In the evening near sunset
Come sit with me
Take my hand in yours
Seal our love with a kiss

See you there…

I looked up
Such a beautiful sight
A huge orange ball
The evening sun
An amazing background
Like a blue ocean
And there it was
Only one long stretch
The white soft fluffy vision
My island in the sky

I could see
Happy people
Prancing unicorns
Fairies and hummingbirds
Butterflies
Puppies and kittens
Flowers and trees
A waterfall and rainbow

Such a beautiful
Happy place
My Island in the Sky

light heart

I decided to follow-up on my Thursday post My Heart Hurts…
https://amarquette333.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/my-heart-hurts-and-cries-out%e2%80%a6/
Friday morning in one of my readings “Never Judge” where the last paragraph says “How can one judge of another? ……………… Bring each heart to Me, its Maker, and leave it with Me. Secure in the certainty that all that is wrong I can set right.”

How many times each day do we judge each other, even in small ways. We forget that we do not know where the other person has been in their lives, what they have been through, how their lives and environments have affected them. Even those people we think we know, we don’t REALLY know what is going through their minds, emotions, spirit, their HEARTS. It takes time to truly get to KNOW another person’s background and their heart.

How does your heart feel…about life these days?
What is your dream for our country, and your personal dream?

I would love to hear from you. In the meantime, let your heart light shine.

I just found this piece I wrote a few years ago. Amazing to find something which was true in the past and now, years later it is true again.

Believe and trust in God’s truth,
and he will place the truth in my heart.
My trust and hope in God
Will plant me where I need to be,
Where I need to grow,
Where I can show his love and mercy to others…
Where I can use the gifts he has given me.”

Wow! Again the path has been shown to me and I am on my way….
I am so at peace and joyful…

Thank you God, and for all the beautiful people in my life.
