Today September 4th 2010…Will I or Won’t I

I heard about the Decatur Book Festival from a writer friend, Gwen Morrison who is taking part. I also read on Facebook, a friend of mine in South Carolina was coming with her husband to attend. They both suggested I should go.

On one hand I did not want to make the trip. It is a 45 minute drive and I dreaded it because I really don’t like driving the 285 highway and just dealing with the traffic. Yet on the other hand I wanted to see my friends and just hang out for a little while. My “on the other hand” spirit won out.

I did have a great time. Met my friends Despina and her hubby for lunch. Afterwards we went to a poetry reading session, and on to a prose reading session. Those were interesting experiences!!!
We did see my friend Gwen as well. It was a lovely day and I am glad I went.
